Dr. Falk, a former resident of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, is a graduate of the University of Scranton. While there, she received the prestigious Bernard Shair Memorial Award which is awarded to a student who gives the greatest promise of a lifetime of service to dentistry and community as exemplified by Dr. Shair.
Dr. Falk graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry and completed her orthodontic residency at St. Louis University, Center for Advanced Dental Education. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Scranton District Dental Society, and the prestigous Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
In Dr. Falk’s spare time, she enjoys exercising, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Falk is originally from Lebanon, PA which is very close to Hershey! She recently visited Hershey where she spotted one of her favorite treats, a Hershey kiss!
Dr. Falk with her mother, Sharon, who has always been Dr. Falk's number one supporter and one of her best friends! Dr. Falk put braces on her mother while she was in her orthodontic residency in St. Louis, and her mother lives in Pennsylvania! It was a long trip to the orthodontist, but it was worth it because her mother just got her braces off!
Dr. John Gershey
Dr. Gershey, a native of the Scranton area, received his undergraduate degree from Temple University. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania the School of Dental Medicine where he was presented with the Matthew Cryer Society Award. This is the highest academic honor given by School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Gershey completed his orthodontic training at Temple University School of Dentistry and he began his practice in Scranton in July of 1978. In February 1980, he opened an office in Blakley. Dr. Gershey is a past President of the Scranton District Dental Society (1984) and a current member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Mid Atlantic Society of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Scranton District Dental Society. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Gershey is married to the former Anne E. Rushmore, and is the father of three adult children, Brian, Daniel and Timothy. Dr. Gershey is an avid golfer and has won numerous golf titles in the Scranton region. He is also past present of the Country Club of Scranton. Dr. Gershey is a Civil War history buff and enjoys spending time with his wife and their two Labrador Retrievers, Denver and Sabrina.
Dr. Gershey is an avid golfer and is a past Club Champion at the Country Club of Scranton, where he also served as Club President. In addition, Dr. Gershey played intercollegiate golf at Temple University where he served as team captain in 1972.
Dr. Gershey pictured at the New Visitor Center at Gettysburg National Battlefield. Dr. Gershey is fond of history, especially Civil War History and spends his leisure time studying the history of this conflict as well as visiting these historical sites.
